436 indigent E. B. Magalona residents avail of DSWD assistance

Another batch of 436 indigent residents of E. B. Magalona have availed of medical, burial, and educational assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), facilitated by the Office of 3rd District Rep. Jose Francisco "Kiko" Benitez, at the payout at the Public Plaza last Oct. 6.

Of the number, 193 availed of medical assistance totaling to P571,000; 140 families availed of burial assistance totaling to P975,000; while 103 students availed of educational assistance totaling to P772,500.

The DSWD assistance, under the Social Welfare and Development - Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (SWAD- AICS) program, amounted to P2,318,500.

Gracing the program before the payout were Rep. Benitez, Mayor Marvin Malacon, Vice Mayor Eric Matulac, and Sangguniang Bayan Member Edgardo Agravante Jr.

Malacon thanked Rep. Benitez for his hard work, dedication, and generous support to the people of E. B. Magalona and the rest of the Third District. The mayor said he is thankful for the strong partnership and collaboration among the Municipal Government of E. B. Magalona, The Third District Congressional Office, and the National Government which translates to more assistance and benefits for Saraviahanon.

The payout was led by congressional geographical coordinator Sonia Macapagal and Municipal Social Welfare Officer Emy Lyn Hibionada, with the assistance of MSWDO staff.

The Office of 3rd District Rep. Jose Francisco Benitez had also facilitated previous SWAD- AICS to indigent E. B. Magalona residents: Sept. 6 โ€“ with 88 beneficiaries; August โ€“ 76; July- 363; and May โ€“ 303. *
